WHAT IS THE VEGETARIAN SOCIETY?The Vegetarian Society of the United Kingdom is the oldest vegetarian organization in the world. It is an educational charity promoting understanding and respect for vegetarian lifestyles. They are giving talks at schools to inform young people. They are supporting young children to join the society. Children are making surveys to find out vegetarianism. While searching I found one of the child's survey. So cute..

They are trying to inform and force young people to be vegetarian. This society's and my aim is same. This is a nice idea to let them make surveys, campaigns, to delegate responsibility is nice. They care, search enjoy and they put in a practice. My design concept can include something like this, giving some responsibilities to children.
Environment CampaignOur environment campaign focuses on the ways that vegetarianism can help reduce your environmental impact. By not eating meat you can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, help conserve water and also help land conservation.
As the world’s population continues to grow, our requirement for food will also increase. Raising cattle is one of the most damaging components of agriculture. They cause the most environmental damage of any non-human species through over-grazing, soil erosion, desertification and tropical deforestation for ranches, in addition to their gaseous emissions and manure products.
Again in this campaign children take part, and this society funding them.Fish Campaign
Whichever way you cut it vegetarians don't eat fish! Fish may not appear as cute and cuddly as young lambs, however they do feel pain and they do suffer. The fishing industry is responsible for some of the most environmentally damaging practices affecting our seas and oceans today.
Fishing is threatening the world’s populations of cetaceans (whales, dolphins and porpoises) and overfishing has left species including tuna, plaice, monkfish and cod in danger. Fishing also affects other wildlife such as seals, birds, turtles, mink and otters, along with coral reefs and aquatic plants. The worldwide demand for fish continues to rise and its impact is getting worse.

There are lots of reasons why people go veggie. For many it is an issue of animal rights; for others it is about the environment and sustainability; some go veggie to improve their health, or they don’t like the taste of animal flesh. The Vegetarian Society campaigns on behalf of all vegetarians, regardless of why they went veggie in the first place.
95% of the population in the United Kingdom is not vegetarian and, despite the fact that vegetarianism has been around for thousands of years, many people still do not understand what it means to be a vegetarian. The more we can get the word out about vegetarianism and dispel some of those crazy myths that exist about us, the better life will be for all of us!
There are lots of ways to get the message across about vegetarianism. However you decide to do it, do not be tempted to break the law or do any stunt which may lead to an accident. This will only serve to convince the general public that vegetarians are somewhat odd or anti-social.
Here's a few ideas:
Write Letters
Send emails
Join a vegetarian group
Start a vegetarian group
Create your own website
Create your own blog
Fundraising
Produce your own poster or leaflet
Contact your local newspaper
Let The Vegetarian Society know what you're doing
In the following days I will contact with them and tell them that I am working on a project and ask them some questions. It is a part of research to contact with these kind of societies.
Join a vegetarian group in your local area. You will meet like-minded people who may already have an ongoing campaign that you can join. The Vegetarian Society has a list of local groups who would be glad to hear from you.Start a vegetarian group of your own! If you can’t find a local group in your area, or if you have different interests from your local group, why not start a veggie group of your own? See our page on starting your own veggie group for more ideas.
Student vegetarian groups: If you are involved in a veggie group at your college/university, or you are a student thinking about starting up such a group, please click here to get in touch.
I think these are great ideas. They make children make something for veggie life, both they are becoming social and learning about vegetarian life (learning how healthy is veggie life!)
